Twitter is widely used by candidates during an election cycle. In this note, we examine: > 1. which issues (tax, drugs, school etc) dominate the tweets, 2. the temporal nature of the tweets with respect to the specified issues, 3. how current events (Umpuqua shooting in Oregon, Russian involvement in Syria etc) impact (or not impact) the content of the tweets of the candidate.
