The goal of this report is to explore the NOAA Storm Database covering the years 1950 thru 2011, and answer the following questions about severe weather events:
1. Across the United States, which types of events are most harmful with respect to population health (i.e. injuries and fatalities)?
2. Across the United States, which types of events have the greatest economic consequences on property and crops?
