In this independent analysis, I utilized the opd_survey.csv dataset from our case study, which is located in the data folder within the Unit 1 Analysis Project. The analysis focused on exploring the usage and effectiveness of online professional development (PD) resources among educators. Using data manipulation, visualization, and text analysis techniques, I identified key trends in PD resource preferences, engagement levels, and perceived benefits.

Airbnb price distribution by NY Boroughs (Data 555 Example)
A Plotly side-by-side boxplot with jittered scatter points to visualize Airbnb price distributions across NYC boroughs. There will be color-coded translucent overlapping boxplots for each room type (Entire Home, Private Room, and Shared Room). The X-axis represents boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island), while the Y-axis shows price per night in USD. Boxplots summarize price distributions (USD per night) for each burough, displaying the median, interquartile range (IQR), and outliers, while jittered scatter points, color-coded by room type, provide additional detail on individual listings. The colors allow users to quickly distinguish how different room types are priced across boroughs and how the listings for room types compare within each burough. Interactive features include hover tooltips displaying color-coded boxes with the borough, average price per night and room type for each listing (jittered scatter point), legend toggles to show or hide jittered points, zooming/panning for exploring price trends or specific burough comparisons, and filtering by room type.
