This project explores district-level education data from Iowa, covering standardized test performance across math, reading, and science for grades 4, 8, and 11. The data set includes 325 school districts and incorporates variables on district size, teacher salary, and experience, enabling analysis of how school characteristics relate to student outcomes. The analysis begins by replicating Chapter 8 of Introduction to Regression Modeling (Abraham & Ledolter, 2006) and then expands to demonstrate applied regression, statistical reasoning, and psychometric thinking inspired by An Introduction to Psychometrics and Psychological Assessment (Colin Cooper). The broader goal is to showcase my skills in R programming, reusable statistical functions, mathematical modeling, and real-world application of probability and regression analysis within an educational science context.
