Drug plasma levels functions describing for linear models can be based on the convolution product of input function times characteristic function. Most common characteristic function is the poli-exponential one. Basic disposition parameters (clearance, distribution aparent volumens and halflife) dependens only from characteristic function. In this tutorial estimation of population characteristic function using nlme R package, and posterior confidence limits for disposition parameters using a bootstrap method is explained.
