This presentation explores the 2025 Australian Federal Election using open data from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). It applies a transparent, reproducible data analysis pipeline in R Markdown to uncover how the Australian Labor Party secured victory — by analyzing division-level swings, state-level two-party-preferred (TPP) results, and first-preference shifts compared to 2022. The slides combine: Cleaned and standardized AEC CSV datasets Interactive and visually clear plots using ggplot2 Automated file checks and captions for reproducibility The goal is to provide a concise yet evidence-based visual narrative that goes beyond media headlines to highlight where and how voter sentiment changed across Australia.
