An Analysis on MLB Power Hitting Trends
This project explored the relationship between power hitting and offensive production in Major League Baseball by analyzing both historical player data from the Lahman database and single-season data from 2016 scraped directly from MLB.com. Using R for data cleaning, transformation, and visualization, the analysis focused on how metrics like home runs, RBIs, and batting average relate to one another. The project also examined trends over time and differences across player positions, offering insights into how power hitters contribute to team performance and how offensive roles vary by position.
