Metabolomics is an emerging field of biomedical sciences, allowing the definition of biomolecular patterns associated with relevant biochemical processes or pathophysiological mechanisms. However, the large amounts of data often generated by some analytical methods can be daunting to those who are not data analysts or have no experience in multivariate analysis. In this article, I will guide you in conducting simple multivariate analysis for metabolomics, including dimension reduction methods and cluster analysis.
