Reproducible Research - Peer Assessment 2
This is a report regarding the effect on the health of the population and effect on economy by severe weather events in the USA. To analyze the information, severe weather data from U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database is used. The dataset has many variables and data since 1950. We have considered event date, event type, health effect and economical effect only for the analysis. The health effect is segregated into Fatal and Injurious whereas Economic effect is divided into Crop damage and property damage. It is also found that the dataset has large number of events. In case of population health, we have considered top ten maximum ocurring events. In case of Property and Crop damage, top ten events are considered which incurred maximum cost.
