World Bank API Exploration With External Debt Stocks of BRICS
In this project we use the World Bank API in R {library(wbstats)} to explore how the external debt stocks (in current USD and % of Gross National Income (GNI)) of India compares to the BRICS countries [i.e. Brazil, Russia, India , China and South Africa]. The numbers are staggering but, historically, India has performed well to keep its head well above the water. India's external debt stands at 20% of GNI as of 2018.
