Exploratory data analysis and visualization techniques applied to engineering analysis of a wind farm.

We present a wind power analysis for the country of Cape Verde. Cape Verde has excellent wind resources, with mean wind speeds of approx. 10m/s at operational sites. This document provides a step-by-step "how-to" for analyzing aggregate wind farm data, including data cleaning, physics-based data filtering, statistical-based data filtering, and data correction. We also fit a Weibull distribution to the windspeed data and demonstrate statistical resampling and prediction. The document itself is a tutorial, with all of the R code used to conduct the analysis included.
