This report aims to support policy advisors in shaping secure, reliable communication infrastructure policies.

This analysis explores science and technology indicators for Kenya, focusing on charges related to the use of intellectual property between 2019 and 2022. The dataset includes annual values for various indicators, allowing one to examine trends over time. The primary objectives of the analysis are to: -Clean and preprocess the data by removing irrelevant rows and converting variables to appropriate types for analysis. Generate summary statistics to understand the indicators' central tendencies (mean, median) and variability (minimum, maximum) across the available years. -Visualize trends in the indicators over time, using line charts to depict how intellectual property charges and other metrics have evolved. -Provide actionable insights by highlighting patterns that may inform policy-making and economic development stakeholders, within Kenya's science and technology sectors. The results of this analysis offer an overview of how the country's investment in intellectual property is shaping its knowledge economy, allowing for evidence-based recommendations to support future growth.
Flood Hazard Extent Analysis for Garissa, Kilifi, and Tana River Counties (2018-2023
This report analyzes flood hazard extents in Garissa, Kilifi, and Tana River counties over 2018, 2019, and 2023, leveraging flood extent data from multiple sources, including UNOSAT, to identify trends, patterns, and the impact of flooding across these regions. We merge flood extent vectors from various datasets and aim to provide a spatial analysis of flood-prone areas, contributing to disaster risk management and preparedness planning. Components of the analysis include: -Spatial visualization of flood extents for the selected years. -Temporal trends highlight the frequency and magnitude of flood events. -Geographic distribution of the flood-affected areas in each county. I-nsights into changes in flood patterns due to environmental or infrastructural factors. The results of this study can inform local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders involved in climate resilience initiatives, providing actionable insights to mitigate future flood risks and enhance community preparedness.
