This tutorial presents a novel yet accessible approach that combines cluster analysis of net displacement values with boosted regression trees to classify migration patterns of Iberian little bustards. The dataset used consists of satellite-tagged records of little bustards, available on MoveBank. The tutorial explains the analyses conducted in the study “Individual variability in migration patterns of Iberian little bustards”.
