How do earnings vary by educational attainment and does the premium for higher education vary by race and/or ethnicity? The data for the research and analysis is used from the 2017 American Community Survey (ACS) by the Census Bureau based in Washington state. Given the size of the data set and the research questions analyzing individual’s earning behavior, the paper utilizes the population records (elsewhere called person records) with sorting variables that are most relevant.
