This project involves exploring the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database. This database tracks characteristics of major storms and weather events in the United States, including when and where they occur, as well as estimates of any fatalities, injuries, and property damage. To examine which weather events are the most most harmful with respect to population health, this analysis looks at the rates of injury, death, and property damage for all events since 1980, limited those for which there are at least 500 occurences since 1980.
