Maternal and Child Health Analysis | Kampala, Uganda
A complete statistical analysis of maternal and child health data from 2,008 mother-infant pairs at two referral hospitals in Kampala, Uganda (Mulago National Referral Hospital and Kawempe General Hospital). Analysis covers: data cleaning, descriptive statistics, comparative Table 1 by facility, nine ggplot2 visualizations, independent samples t-test, Pearson chi-square, binary logistic regression with forest plot, and Spearman rank correlation. Compiled as a graduate-level R Markdown report with full methods, results, discussion, limitations, and references. Key findings: HIV-positive mothers had significantly lower birth weight babies (p = 0.045); pre-eclampsia was strongly associated with poor maternal outcomes (χ² = 96.46, p < 0.001); NICU admission was the dominant predictor of neonatal death (OR = 13.08, p < 0.001). Dataset: AI-simulated for educational and portfolio purposes. No real patient data used.
