A complete statistical analysis of maternal and child health data from
2,008 mother-infant pairs at two referral hospitals in Kampala, Uganda
(Mulago National Referral Hospital and Kawempe General Hospital).
Analysis covers: data cleaning, descriptive statistics, comparative
Table 1 by facility, nine ggplot2 visualizations, independent samples
t-test, Pearson chi-square, binary logistic regression with forest plot,
and Spearman rank correlation. Compiled as a graduate-level R Markdown
report with full methods, results, discussion, limitations, and references.
Key findings: HIV-positive mothers had significantly lower birth weight
babies (p = 0.045); pre-eclampsia was strongly associated with poor
maternal outcomes (χ² = 96.46, p < 0.001); NICU admission was the
dominant predictor of neonatal death (OR = 13.08, p < 0.001).
Dataset: AI-simulated for educational and portfolio purposes.
No real patient data used.
