Normalization and Synthesis of Edaphic Properties for the Development of a Soil Quality Index.
In this project, a Soil Quality Index (SQI) was constructed from SSURGO edaphic data. The process included data cleaning and cleaning, imputation of missing values, normalization of key edaphic variables (pH, bulk density, organic matter, cation exchange capacity, base saturation and texture), and integration of these into a composite index. Finally, the SQI was linked to spatial geometries for its application as a predictor variable in regression models and spatial analysis.
Spatial Interpolation
This project demonstrates spatial interpolation techniques using a set of point observations to generate continuous surface maps. I applied Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) and Ordinary Kriging (OK) using R packages such as gstat, sp, and raster. The analysis includes exploratory spatial data visualization, variogram modeling, and map creation using leaflet. These methods are commonly used in precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and land-use planning.
Factorial design 3^2
This study evaluated the interaction between different concentrations of gibberellic acid (GA₃) and hours of imbibition on the germination of Raphanus sativus (radish) seeds. A 3² factorial design was used with three levels of gibberellic acid (GA) concentration (0, 3, and 6 ppm) and three levels of imbibition (0, 6, and 12 hours), with three replicates per treatment.
