This is the final project for the Linear regression and modeling course at Coursera see <https://www.coursera.org/learn/linear-regression-model>
Coursera project on regression modelling; automatic vs manual cars fuel efficiency
Motor Trend (mt) a magazine about the automobile industry. Looking at a data set of a collection of cars, they are interested in exploring the relationship between a set of variables and miles per gallon (MPG) (outcome). They are particularly interested in the following two questions:
“Is an automatic or manual transmission better for MPG”
"Quantify the MPG difference between automatic and manual transmissions"
Movement from activity monitoring device
iit is now possible to collect a large amount of data about personal movement using activity monitoring devices such as a Fitbit, Nike Fuelband, or Jawbone Up. These types of devices are part of the “quantified self” movement – a group of enthusiasts who take measurements about themselves regularly to improve their health, to find patterns in their behavior, or because they are tech geeks. In this project data extracted from a personal activity monitoring device. This device collects data at 5-minute intervals throughout the day. The data consists of two months of data from an anonymous individual collected during October and November 2012 and includes the number of steps taken in 5-minute intervals each day.
