This presentation is supplementary data analysis for the poster *Antecedence of Challenge / Hindrance Stressor Appraisal* which was presented at the SIOP 2023 conference hosted in Boston Massachusetts. All information was derived directly from the data with exception of the correlation and regression tables which were edited to fit within the presentation boundaries. I attempted to provide as much code in the presentation, however, this is not intended to be a R tutorial document. Any question about the analysis can be directed to the comments of this presentation.

Get familiar with the RStudio environment as well as an introduction to the syntax of coding within R

Students in the MSIO program at Salem State University are welcome to use this resource as a primer going into their statistics courses required for the program. There are multiple presentation that cover different topics in statistics at various levels of difficulty all under the titles "statsbootcampXX" where "XX" are the intended ordering of the lessons.

Test the various scales developed with reliability measures (alpha and omega), and validity measures. Analysis on individual items in the Cognitive Absenteeism scale using Item Response Theory (IRT) was performed as well as classical forms of item analysis.

Perform multiple functions on data of applicant scores to provide informed recommendations to hire 10 applicants for a general operations manager position.

Perform exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis on a large set of items.

Part 2 of testing the criterion validity of 3 predictors. Included are multiple regression equations to predict the criterion variable and the minimum scores (cut off scores) for each predictor to predict the average criterion score.
