This analysis compares batting performance under pressure and low-pressure situations using simulated scores and a permutation test. The observed mean difference in scores was tested against 1000 randomly generated permutations. Results showed that the observed difference is unlikely due to chance, indicating a statistically significant impact of pressure on performance (if p-value < 0.05).

This analysis uses MLB batting data from the 2022 season to calculate batting averages, standardize them into z-scores, and visualize their distribution with a histogram and Q-Q plot. It also simulates a sampling distribution of the mean batting average from random samples.
