Reexamining the “Brain Drain” Effect: Does Ward et al. (2017) replicate?
This document outlines the analyses from Study 1 in my dissertation. The purpose of this study was to investigate Ward et al.’s (2017) second experiment by completing a direct replication. Individual Differences in Smartphone Use: What Aspects of Cognition are Affected by Smartphones?
This document is provides additional information to a poster presented at Association for Psychological Science (APS, 2019) conference. The rising prevalence of smartphones has prompted research about how they can impact cognitive abilities. We explored: (1) individual differences in how people feel towards and interact with their smartphones, (2) how smartphones affect different aspects of cognition, and (3) interactions between individual differences and these effects.
