This tutorial describes in details how to perform differential gene expression analysis in RNA-seq studies. Since its introduction in 2009, RNA-seq has been used in several projects to establish the gene expression profiles of cancer patients through the identification of differentially expressed genes. Although there are several available tools that can be used here, this tutorial focuses on DESeq2 using count data from HISAT2 aligner.
