Regression Models Course Project
We will be looking at a data set of a collection of cars presented in mtcars dataset, we are interested in exploring the relationship between a set of variables and miles per gallon (MPG) (outcome). We are particularly interested in the following two questions:
Is an automatic or manual transmission better for MPG
Quantify the MPG difference between automatic and manual transmissions
Exploratory data analysis on ToothGrowth dataset
ToothGrowth dataset contains the data about the effect of Vitamin C on Tooth Growth in Guinea Pigs.
The response is the length of odontoblasts (teeth) in each of 10 guinea pigs at each of three dose levels of Vitamin C (0.5, 1, and 2 mg) with each of two delivery methods (Orange Juice or Ascorbic Acid).
Analysis of impacts of weather events on public health and economy
Storms and other severe weather events can cause both public health and economic problems for communities and municipalities. Many severe events can result in fatalities, injuries, and property damage, and preventing such outcomes to the extent possible is a key concern.
This project involves exploring the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database. This database tracks characteristics of major storms and weather events in the United States, including when and where they occur, as well as estimates of any fatalities, injuries, and property damage.
Tornado turns to be the most dangerous for public health and Flooding causes the biggest economic impact.
