Final Project for PSTAT 131 (Introduction to Machine Learning in R) Using Election and Census data from the 2016 Presidential Election, we looked into Nate Silver’s misprediction of the results and gained some insight on how that error could be avoided in the future. We performed many different machine learning algorithms to recreate the same processes as well as more exploratory analysis on the data.
