I am analyzing pitching metrics from MLB data in order to predict the type of pitches and speed of these pitches based on certain game situations. I currently utilize R and RStudio to formulate and tune multiple supervised machine learning models (random forest, boosted tree, neural nets, etc.) with 30+ features to predict the approximate speeds and spin rate.
