Human Activity Recognition - HAR - has emerged as a key research area in the last years and is gaining increasing attention by the pervasive computing research community, especially for the development of context-aware systems.

Lets run a simulation where we estimate the mean, median, standard deviation, and variance of a population from which we have a sample. We will do this using bootstrapping.

This assignment makes use of data from a personal activity monitoring device. This device collects data at 5 minute intervals through out the day. The data consists of two months of data from an anonymous individual collected during the months of October and November, 2012 and include the number of steps taken in 5 minute intervals each day.

In this project we will perform a basic analysis of the effect of severe weather events, in both the public health and economic senses, on the community. For our analysis we will be using the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database.

We will perform an analysis of this data to see if there are any significant differences in tooth growth for the different delivery methods across dosages.

We will investigate the CLT through a simulation.

In this article we will examine some statistics relating to a set of cars to see if we can make predictions about fuel consumption (MPG).

America seems to be a country divided - along cultural, political, and religious lines to name a few. Or is it? This project attempts an investigation along one of those lines. It attempts to find an association between fear and location in the United States.
