Error Correction Model is employed to examine whether a cointegration is exist between households consumption and GDP of Indonesia. If it’s exist, we can estimate the speed of adjustment of GDP to Households Consumption when there is a shock
GDP Forecasting 2023
In the past two years, Indonesia experienced economic slowdown because of the pandemic. Nevertheless, the pandemic is become endemic and about 73% citizen has been vaccinated twice. Indonesia is in economic recovery. Then, how is the prosect of Indonesia economy for the next 5 quarters? To answer that question, we will forecast Indonesia GDP using ARIMA model.
ARDL Models
When people have an increase of income, they usually do not rush to spend all the increase immediately. The recipients may decide to increase consumption gradually within some periods. To clarify it, we examine Indonesia household consumption per capita in relation to income per capita from 1967 to 2020. We will employ Autoregressive and Distributed-Lag Models, such as The Koyck Transformation Model, The Adaptive Expectations Model, and The Stock Adjustment Model.
Logit Model: Graduate School Admission
The goal of this analysis is to build a model that can predict whether a person is admitted into graduate school or not based on his/her GRE (Gradute Record Exam scores), GPA (Grade Point Avarage), and the rank of his/her undergraduate alma-mater. There are four ranks and the first rank is the highest. Admit is dependent variable and predictors are gre, gpa, and rank.
Decentralization and Air Pollution in Indonesia
Indonesia was governed by a centralized system. This era which began in 1966 is well known as New Order (Orde Baru). It last till 1998 when a reformed movement was emerged because Asian Financial Crisis hit Indonesia economy very badly. Since then, new era come to born namely Reformed Era. Today, Indonesia government is a decentralized system. The system allows cities, regencies, and provincies to have some degree of freedom to organize their economic activity. This means, economic activities become more sporadic than before. Hence, there are new source of economic growth at city, regency, and provincial level. At the other hand, according to Evironmental Kuznets Curve Hypothesis that the environmental degredation tend to increase at the beginning of economic growth. However, when it passes a certain level of income, the economic growth allows environmental remediation. This research aims is to check whether the impact of decentralization reduce air pollution or not.
