An introduction to the plotenvelope function in the ecostats package, which can be used to construct global simulation envelopes around residual plots for many types of fitted models in R (pretty much anything that respond to residuals, predict, simulate and update). Global simulation envelopes make it easier to interpret results, because anything outside the envelope is evidence of an assumption violation.
