This is a short tutorial on how R is an object based programming language. It is designed for a novice user to familiarize them with these concepts and some elementary code syntax. (version 2)

Expanding on the von Bertalanffy growth model, in a Part II, again using the dataset of fish size at age (Kimura, 1980). This chapter simulates samples of increasing realism and uses the ratio test again, which was first explored in Part I.

This is another introduction to R, meant for a novice user, to familiarize them with some basic concepts and code. In this case, the topic of data simulation and hypothesis testing is the focus. These topics will reappear in a future chapter at a more advanced level.
