Compersion Analyses
Compersion is a well-known term in polyamorous communities that connotes the positive emotion an individual may experience in relation to their partner’s relationship with another partner. Little is known about this emotion or about the factors that facilitate or inhibit its expression. The current study empirically examines several hypotheses of potential predictors of compersion.
Love languages - theory validation analysis
An examination of the validity of the Love Languages theory, testing the following hypotheses: a. The more satisfied individuals are with the extent to which their partner engages in behaviors consistent with their primary love languages, the more satisfied they will be with their relationship. b. Furthermore, their satisfaction with their partner’s behaviors specific to their primary love language will better predict relationship satisfaction compared to their satisfaction with their partner’s behaviors relative to their non-primary love languages.
EFA and CFA for Love Languages (Study 2)
EFA and CFA were performed on a sample of size 565 (split into two) to assess models for "love languages" (keeping in mind the five love languages model).
