In this article, I analyze the year-over-year changes in retail sales across various US states and subsectors using data from TidyTuesday and the U.S. Census API. I explore trends, examine the impact of population size on sales growth, and visualize the top-performing retail subsectors. This analysis is conducted using R, with a focus on data aggregation, cleaning, and creating insightful visualizations to better understand retail sales dynamics.
