Analysis of the Tone and Framing of the LGBTQ+ Community in Turkish Media
This study focuses on the representation of the LGBTQ+ community in the Turkish media, i.e., news articles. To conduct this study, a comprehensive Turkish news articles dataset, which contains 42 thousand news articles, was sourced from Kaggle. Then, two distinct sentiment analysis models were utilized to analyze and classify the sentences from the articles that contained keywords related to the LGBTQ+ community. The results were gathered and visualized using the ggplot2 package. This R Markdown document offers comprehensive findings and sheds light on the sentiment expressed in the news articles.
