The primary objective of the project, "Analysis of Nosocomial Infection Control Efficacy in US Hospitals," is to investigate the effectiveness of infection surveillance and control programs in reducing the rates of nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections within United States hospitals. This analysis is based on data obtained from the "Study on the efficacy of Nosocomial Infection Control" (SENIC project), specifically focusing on the data collected during the 1975-76 study period.
