The Geography of Cerivical Cancer
This analysis examines the global burden of cervical cancer using WHO Global Cancer Observatory (2022) data. Using spatial statistics and multilevel regression modelling, the study identified significant clustering of cervical cancer incidence across Sub-Saharan Africa, with 42 countries forming a high-burden hotspot. HIV prevalence was positively associated with cervical cancer incidence, while urbanisation appeared protective. The findings highlight major geographical inequalities in cervical cancer burden and reinforce the need for expanded HPV vaccination, screening, and early treatment programmes across Africa.

Oswego Foodborne Outbreak, 1940
This Quarto document presents an analysis of the Oswego foodborne outbreak (1940), a classic case in field epidemiology. It includes data exploration, calculation of attack rates, and visualization of the epidemic curve using R. The document demonstrates how epidemiological methods can identify the likely vehicle of a foodborne outbreak and provides a free R script for reproducible analysis. Ideal for students, epidemiologists, and public health practitioners interested in outbreak investigation.
