This analysis calculates women's estimated lifetime loss of earnings due to gender pay inequality in Texas. For the analysis, I use 2015-2024 CPS-ASEC Cross-sectional data from IPUMS CPS. I did not use any of the basic monthly samples. I filtered the data to be for Texas (FIPS=48) before downloading the data extract.

This analysis calculates the estimated reduction of poverty for women in Texas if there was no gender pay inequality for the year 2024. The code is based on Coda Rayo-Garza's original code. For the analysis, I use 2024 CPS-ASEC Cross-sectional data from IPUMS CPS. I did not use any of the basic monthly samples. I filtered the data to be for Texas (FIPS=48) before downloading the data extract. Draft 1 uses the CUTOFF variable to measure whether a woman is in poverty based on her household's income.

This analysis calculates an estimate of the number of children in Texas who are eligible for Medicaid, CHIP, and SNAP but are not enrolled. The data is available by state house and senate district.
