Animated cartograms present analysis on spatial distribution of the number of rental apartments constructed during each decade in the following sectors: Private, TCHC and Co-Operative. Another cartogram looks at spatial distribution of renters who spent more than 30% of their household income during censu periods: 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016.
GTA Crime Rates 2014 ~ 2021
Animated cartogram depicts areas of interest with respect to increasing trends in serious crime like assault, homicide, auto theft-destroying community safety. Data driven map will aid Toronto Police to overcome challenges and dedicate resources appropriately to end the spate of increasing criminal activity in collaboration with the community.

The current study aims to identify the socio economic and demographic factors that influence the circulation of materials from library branches located in 44 Wards. The analysis is specifically interested in the reason for higher circulation of materials in specific branches to help enhance the role of libraries in communities.
Impact of Storm Events on Public Health and Economy of USA
In this report we aim to identify the types of events which are most harmful with respect to population health and greatest economic consequences across the United States. This report involves exploring the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) storm database. The events in the database start in the year 1950 and end in November 2011. This analysis found that events Flood, Hurricane/Typhoon, Tornado and Storm Surge caused severe property and crop damages varying from 40 ~ 150 Billion dollars. Tornado causes maximum sufferings to the population.
The Elite Triumph The Toronto Mayoralty
The Toronto Mayoral Election 2014 was held on October 27, 2014. Incumbent Mayor Rob Ford registered to run for re-election, but dropped out after being diagnosed with a tumour. His brother Doug Ford stepped in to keep the "FORD NATION' flag flying high. John Tory, former Talk Show Radio Host won the election defeating Ford's brother, city councillor Doug Ford, and former Trinity-Spadina MP Olivia Chow. More than 980,000 Torontonians cast ballots in this election, which is 60 % of the registered voters. The Toronto Star carried a story: "Doug Ford, wealthy and privileged mayoral candidate, has launched his last-minute campaign with a withering attack on the wealth and privilege of frontrunner John Tory. Over the course of three days, he has said Tory is "from a whole different world," called Tory a "downtown elite" who is "out of touch," referred to a Tory "chauffeur," argued that Tory is accustomed to a "silver platter," and suggested Tory thinks he is superior to people who live in public housing.[1] In general, elite means a selected part of a group that is superior to the rest in terms of ability or qualities. Here, this article looks into following select groups: Employed vs Unemployed; High School Drop outs vs University educated; Immigrants vs. non-immigrants; languages spoken at home to check the validity of Doug Ford's assertion.
Can Cultural Indices Affect Innovation
This analysis seeks to answer the question: why is it that select countries produce Nobel laureates whereas other countries do not. The answers are based on the analysis of the following parameters: - Research expenses allocated by a country as a percentage of its GDP - Number of researchers per 1 Million people living in a country - Number of articles published per Million People in a country - PDI, IDV factors from Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory[1].
