Across the United States, which types of events (as indicated in the EVTYPE variable) are most harmful with respect to population health? 2. Across the United States, which types of events have the greatest economic consequences? The basic goal of this document is to explore the NOAA Storm Database and understand some basic concepts about weather events.

This map presents an exploratory spatial visualization of country-specific trade dependency effects. The classification is descriptive and based on the sample average coefficient. No causal inference or hypothesis testing is intended. This visualization is used as a preliminary diagnostic tool. The final empirical analysis and interpretation will be presented in a separate academic article.
