The Power of Data
Assessing inter-rater and intra-rater agreement
Measurements taken by different methods, people or sites can have different sensitivity and/or bias. Assessing rater agreement is therefore important, e.g. when validating a new assay against an established one.
In this VIS-SIG Wonderful Wednesdays challenge from 20 Dec 2024, a dataset was provided comprising clinical measurements performed on the same individuals with two different instruments, at three consecutive timepoints. Visualisations should show the degree by which the two instruments agreed, as well as the consistency of their performance over repeated measurements. In addition, I experimented with mulitplot layouts and interactive features.
