Our project investigates patterns in urban noise complaints across New York City. Specifically, we sought to answer the When during the week do noise complaints peak? Furthermore, we wanted to know, are certain types of noise complaints more common on particular days? Finally, we wanted to better understand how these patterns differ by borough? These questions were inspired by both our own experiences living in the city and the broader issue of quality of life in dense urban areas.
