This project utilizes R to simulate figure skating competitions using the International Judging System (IJS). Through 10,000 iterations, the script generates and analyzes both short and long program scores, incorporating technical elements and component scores. The goal is to identify the optimal combination of skating elements and judges' scores that yields a total combined score closest to 190 points across both programs. This simulation provides valuable insights for strategic program planning and performance optimization for the Miami Senior Synchronized Skating Team. The analysis includes: - Importing and processing IJS scoring data - Defining short and long program elements - Generating Grade of Execution (GOE) and component scores - Calculating program scores based on IJS rules - Simulating multiple competitions to find the ideal score combination
