This report summarises the first steps taken in the data analysis in the Courser Data Science capstone project about natural language processing. This report gives a brief summary of the features and properties of the datasets.

With the Storm Data available from U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database an analysis of storm and wind related events is carried out. The goal is to find the event most harmful to public health and causing the most economic damage. The questions are addressed separately for fatalities, injuries and economic damage. The top 20 most impacting events are reported.
