Bushfire Smoke Modeling
I have been selected to participate in the 2024 Future Research Talent program at the Australian National University (ANU). As part of this program, I am conducting a research project at the Bushfire Research Centre of Excellence (BRCoE), Fenner School of Environment and Society, under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas Wilson and Prof. Marta Yebra. My research focuses on modeling smoke dispersal from bushfires, contributing to the BRCoE’s early fire detection efforts.
Fire Danger Rating System (FDRS)
The Fire Danger Rating System (FDRS) is a predictive system designed to forecast the susceptibility of peat fires for the purpose of mitigation. This system use hydro-meteorological variable namely rainfall, temperature, and soil moisture.
