Word Prediction Application

This is the Milestone Report for the Coursera Data Science Capstone project. The goal of the capstone project is to create a predictive text model using a large text corpus of documents as training data. This Capstone project will be held in collaboration with SwiftKey. In this milestone report relationship between words, tokens, and phrases in the text is explored. This will eventually help to build our linguistic model.

In this project, we will analyze the mtcars data set and explore the relationship between a set of variables and miles per gallon (MPG) which will be our outcome.

Storms and other severe weather events can cause both public health and economic problems for communities and municipalities. Many severe events can result in fatalities, injuries, and property damage, and preventing such outcomes to the extent possible is a key concern. This project involves exploring the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) storm database. This database tracks characteristics of major storms and weather events in the United States, including when and where they occur, as well as estimates of any fatalities, injuries, and property damage.

This will define the trend of the various pattern in storm analysis.

Following is the analysis of the storm database from 1950-2011
