Exploring Crime: A Visual and Statistical Analysis (2015–2018)
This project explores Boston Police Department crime data from 2015 to 2018 to uncover patterns in criminal activity. Using R, we analyze trends by year and month, identify the most common crime types, and examine geographic variations across districts. Special focus is given to shooting incidents and seasonal fluctuations. Through data visualizations, the analysis highlights crime hotspots and supports strategic, data-driven approaches to public safety and resource planning.
