apply_sserbin2019_plsr_to_neon_example
An example showing how to apply an existing PLSR model to new data. In this case applying the LMA model from Serbin et al., (2019; DOI - 10.1111/nph.16123) to a dataset collected at CONUS NEON field sites
reseco_lma_plsr_example
Spectra-trait PLSR example using leaf-level spectra and leaf mass per area (LMA) data from 36 species growing in Rosa rugosa invaded coastal grassland communities in Belgium
reseco_leafN_bootstrap_plsr_example
Spectra-trait PLSR example using leaf-level spectra and leaf nitrogen content (Narea, g/m2) data from 36 species growing in Rosa rugosa invaded coastal grassland communities in Belgium. Bootstrap validation example
reseco_leafN_plsr_example
Spectra-trait PLSR example using leaf-level spectra and leaf nitrogen content (Narea, g/m2) data from 36 species growing in Rosa rugosa invaded coastal grassland communities in Belgium
neon_leafN_canopy_plsr_example
An example illustrating how to leverage the spectra-trait PLSR approach using canopy-scale reflectance observations. This example focuses on spectral observations collected form the NEON AOP platform and leaf traits collected at select NEON field sites. The dataset is sourced from the EcoSIS spectral database. Similar to the leaf-level examples, this script includes the selection of optimal number of PLSR components as well as quantification of model prediction uncertainties based on permutation approaches. Very little outlier removal or data QA/QC is conducted here and an end-user may want to more rigorously determine which data to keep for model calibration. We suggest users first read the source manuscript before running this script (see source dataset on EcoSIS below) Spectra and trait data source: https://ecosis.org/package/canopy-spectra-to-map-foliar-functional-traits-over-neon-domains-in-eastern-united-states
neon_lma_plsr_example
Spectra-trait PLSR example using leaf-level spectra and leaf mass per area (LMA) data from CONUS NEON sites
kit_sla_plsr_example
Spectra-trait PLSR example using leaf-level spectra and specific leaf area (SLA) data from more than 40 species grassland species comprising both herbs and graminoids
ely_etal_leafN_bootstrap_plsr_bygrp_example
Spectra-trait PLSR example using leaf-level spectra and leaf nitrogen content (Narea, g/m2) data from eight different crop species growing in a glasshouse at Brookhaven National Laboratory. This example shows the bootstrap validation and component selection across group (in this case species)
