Injection drug use has been associated with depressive symptoms even after accounting for the potential confounding effects of alcohol use, gender, and HIV status using data from the ALIVE study. One potential next step in this research would be to develop a clinical prediction model for depression based on this data. The dataset contains data from all active ALIVE participants at one visit occurring between 2005 and 2006.
