My Flexdashboard shows the summary statistics of numbers of rides each day and the comparison of numbers of stations with its respected numbers of rides yearly. Beginning with the chart on the left, chart A shows the time series plot for numbers of rides of Ford GoBike service between June 2017 and October 2018. As you can drag the slider under the plot to see the numbers of rides have been since 2017 with an increasing trend months by months. On the right of the dashboard, chart B and C are the maps showing the stations’ map (start stations) that Ford GoBike riders have been using in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Here, you can see which areas/stations have more bikes checked out than the others. This information can help the business to make decision of opening new stations or restocking bikes more frequently than the others. In addition, the numbers show in both maps display numbers of stations within that area, and it is interactively zoom-able to show the individual stations’ information such as station ID, station name, and statistical summary - numbers of trips have been made at that station in that year. Overall, we can see numbers of trips increasing monthly, and the numbers of stations also grows in 2018, comparing to numbers of stations in 2017.

For this project, I visualize Median Household Income by State Dollars in 2010 and in 2015 data from GeoFRED using statebins plot. The data files are stored in the same directory.
