The data set contains 20,640 observations of 10 variables. The respondent variable is called “median house value” indicating the median house price for the corresponding investigated living block. A block group is the smallest geographical unit for which the U.S. Census Bureau publishes sample data and in this data set, whose average number is 1425.5. The 9 other variables are considered to be relevant to the house prices(in our case, working as predictors), 8 of which are continuous and one is geographical categorical variables.
