Using a difference-in-proportions test, I found no statistically significant difference between the proportion of male and female refugees, suggesting sex does not determine refugee status. The analysis also visualizes country-level trends—highlighting Egypt’s exceptional intake—and demonstrates data manipulation, hypothesis testing, and clear communication in R.
